i have an interesting decision heading into the new ffb season in my big $ league.  we keep 5 each year (essentially our first 5 draft picks), and we can keep them as long as we own them.  i have 8 or 9 potential keepers, and would appreciate any and all help ranking them.

 

we start:  1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 2 rb/wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def

scoring (fractional):  25pass yards/pt, 10 rush/rec yards/pt, 1 ppr, 6 pts/TD (all), -2 pts/TO

 

i have:

gore, turner, charles, hillis

wallace, bowe, MWTB, marshall

schaub

 

i can (and will be looking to) trade who i can't/don't keep, but wanted insight on how these players fell on your respective draft boards.  right now, charles and wallace are the only definites that i will keep and almost absolutely won't trade.

Well being that passing TDs are 6 points, you HAVE to keep Schaub, IMO. 

That leaves 4. Given also that you have 2 flex spots, your RBs are pretty valuable as well. Charles is obviously a keeper. This is where it gets tricky. It seems you're in "win now" mode. Gore is 28 and coming off an injury. Turner is 29 and this is probably his last year of productivity before it falls off a cliff. Also, he's coming off groin surgery. Then, Hillis is young, but I am a firm believer in the madden curse. Marshall is coming off a stabbing. (LOL) I'd try to package your backs and one of your receivers to upgrade either the RB or WR position. 

 

I'd rank them like this:

  1. Schaub
  2. Charles
  3. Turner
  4. Gore
  5. Wallace
  6. MWTB 
  7. Hillis (Madden Curse) 
  8. Bowe (Not sold on him, never have been)
  9. Marshall (Value will skyrocket if Orton ends up in Miami)
