Ok guys ..   just a thought only .. that has crossed my mind .  In my 10 Team Deep keeper league ( Keep 7 every year ) Non PPR .  Which I almost consider a dynasty league .. ( Roster Below )  .  would you trade MJD  age 27 for Richardson ?   Thinking I could get Richardson along with the  1.4 pick for MJD …  am I nuts for this thought ?   I know I am trade happy …  but Im still not settled…   call me crazy but Im still not comfortable with my Team        ?    Or should I just ride MJD for the next few years ….      CB

so it is MJD & 1.4 for richardson… or Rich & 1.4 for MJD

Or do you just have 1.4….

If it is straight up … I would keep MJD… the other way is like MJD & 4th best rookie or 6th rounder… i am still with MJD

Thanks for the math help

It would be  MJD for Richardson and the 1.4 .  I have the 1.6 in the draft already . The owner Im thinking of has the 1.1 and the 1.4 in the draft .   My offer would look like this :

I give MJD / 3.4 / 6.1  and receive  1.1 / 1.4 .  ( The 1.1 obviously converts to Richardson ) .

If I were to offer and he were to accept .. I would own the 1.1 , 1.4 / 1.6  in the 2012 draft .

I wouldn't do it and here's why.  You'd be giving up a proven top five rb for two unproven rookies.  I believe in the saying that a bird in the hand beats two in the bush.

I hear you FTRWRTR !   ….  I have the same thoughts  !  Should I disregard the talk of Richardson being the next coming of AP ?  With MJD getting up in age …… That's the only question that haunts me …    CB

Lot more M Bennets than APs have formed… i like CLev but with no QB this kid is going to have a tough time

Thanks for the math help

I'd do it, doubt he will.  Since the draft, Trent Richardson's ADP is about the same as MJDs.  If you can get 1.1 AND 1.4, that'd be a real nice coup.

given MJD recent workload, in a dynasty league, I'd trade MJD for Richardson…you might not be on the better end of it THIS season but you will be for MANY seasons in the future.

Cam… your confusing people…

The trade would be MJD, 3.4 and 6.1 for 1.1 and 1.4

Since this is a 7 player keeper league it's more like MJD 10.4 & 13.1 for Richardson and one other rookie… The first round picks are more like pics for a rookie draft.

Having 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6 would = something like Richardson, Martin and Blackmon/ Floyd… He might be able to get a QB instead of Martin.

I'd do it… I think MJD and Richardson are about equal in a redraft. MJD is the safer pick, but might bring a little more injury risk due to number of carries. With your keeper/ dynasty rules I'd trade MJD for Richardson straight up… getting the 1.4 is icing on the cake…

Good Luck!

Cam….. if you can pull this off, I'd be tempted to draft 3 RB's. Richardson, Martin, and either Wilson or Pead. I wasn't sold on Blackmon and now he's in Sucksonville.. I mean Jacksonville. Floyd may be the better fantasy WR, but he's no AJ Green or Julio Jones. I'd probably role with the RB's… especially with how easily you pull off trades.

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE

Eli, Roth

Alfred, Ridley,

Marshall, Cobb, Fitz, Garcon, Britt, DHB

Gronk, Olsen, Bennett

Your right NFLLIFER …  I guess I should clarify better at the first post . We keep 7 and then conduct a 8 round draft ..   My apologies guys ….

as far as the post ,,  I have made the offer ..  I did add Steve Smith to the mix along with MJD to sweetin the deal .  He hasn't responded yet but I have a feeling he will pass on the deal …   Im sure he looks at this the same as we do possibly ?  He did earn last place in 2011 so he might go for it on the basis of he needs to win this year ?    We will see ?   I will let you all know  the outcome when it happens ..  thanks for all the insight and great responses ..    CB

You hope.  So many "stud" rookie rbs have failed to live up to expectations it's not funny.  That's my point you know what you're getting with MJD, with richardson you're hoping.

I'd make the deal, though I think MJD and the late picks is enough for the same reasons FTR is mentioning.

However, he'd be getting two top shots at landing a bigtime producer, and he's really only selling off MJD for this year and maybe next.  MJD started early, and has taken a lot of shots.  He's built more than capable of taking those hits, but the wear and tear will take them sooner or later, and my bet is sooner.  Besides…this team he is on is abysmal.  That's gonna take it's toll as well.
