Goodell has announced the punishments for their rolls in the Saints' bounty program. Here's the skinny:
Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, suspended for all of 2012 (now thru the SB)
Packers defensive end Anthony Hargrove, who left the Saints after the 2010 season has been suspended for the first eight games of the season
Saints defensive end Will Smith, suspended for the first four games
Browns linebacker Scott Fujita suspended for the first three games

I'm more surprised that will smith only got 4 games than I am that vilma is gone for the year. Some ppl may say that was too harsh but that's the point, goodell is trying to change the culture of football so that intentionally trying to injure players and going after prior injuries isn't a "normal" part of the game.

I'm a little surprised that there weren't some more 1-2 game suspensions for other players. I guess I was assuming that the program extended farther than just those 4. Maybe they're punishing them more for their rolls as supporting/organizing/funding it than just going along with it…

Yeah, goodell says vilma helped gregg williams establish and fund the bounty program which is why he got a year

As FTR alluded, I believe Vilma even actually put up bounties himself.
